The unique experience of dining on a miniature railway adds an element of fun, especially for families. The extensive tea selection, along with their scrumptious scones, leaves many coming back for more, ensuring this cozy spot remains popular among local foodies.
Some guests note the main indoor area can become quite noisy, especially during peak times, which detracts from the otherwise calm atmosphere. There are also mentions of a wet, muddy parking area that could use some attention for comfort during rainy visits. A few visitors suggested that adding curtains or fabric elements could help reduce sound and enhance the cozy feeling inside.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience remains positive, with many guests willing to overlook these issues for the sake of delightful food and friendly service.
We love stopping by this bakery for a coffee and a slice of cake during our long weekend walks. In my opinion, they serve the best flat white in the area! The cakes are always fresh and delicious. Yesterday we also enjoyed a ride on their train — such a fun experience for both kids and adults. What makes it even more special is the team: everyone working here is so lovely and friendly. A true gem!
Interesting menu, friendly staff, decent quality hot drinks (including loose leaf tea), and easy to park. Very dog friendly, with a tolerant relaxed atmosphere, enjoyed by all types: many regulars, passing cyclists, bikers, young mums with toddlers etc. However, their main inside area needs curtains and more fabrics around, as it usually gets intolerably noisy. There is also a working miniature railway, with a Pullman coach, in which you can enjoy an afternoon tea!
We only stopped for coffee on our walk but plenty of customers tucking into breakfast. Seating inside, under cover outside and outside benches. An intriguing railway the other side of the hedge.
Really lovely place especially in summer when able to sit outside, cakes are lovely food is fabulous just a lovely little place off the beaten track
Awesome. Yummy tummy satisfied. Delicious food friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Located in a quiet, pleasant area in little braxted. Afternoon tea for 5. Unlimited tea, variety of sandwiches, scones with cream & jam, chocolate cupcakes and short bread, cheese twist, pineapple cheese sticks. The overall experience was good but my only concern was the wet, muddy parking area.
Lovely afternoon spent at The Braxted Bakery. The little carriage area is so cute, food and drink delicious and friendly and efficient service from the staff. Highly recommended
